Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru
Historically, this vineyard was offered by Emperor Charlemagne in 775 to the Saint-Andoche Collegiate Church in Saulieu. And as a sign of gratitude, the Canons granted these vines the name of their donor. Further paying tribute to the emperor with the flowery beard, the Grand Cru AOC was established on July 31, 1937.

2019

The 2019 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru from Château Corton C. is a lucid silvery hue. The bouquet is well defined with honeysuckle, orange pith and light hazelnut aromas, just a little lanolin and pralines in the background. The palate is well balanced with nicely integrated oak. It has the weight one expects from a Corton-Charlemagne with just a little bitterness that lends tension on the finish. This is a sophisticated and refined expression of this Grand Cru
