JEWEL OF BURGUNDIAN ARCHITECTURE

The Château Corton which is located in the rue d’Aloxe Corton, was built at the end of the 19th century on the site of an old 18th century château, at the foot of Cortonhill, on cellars dating from the 15th century.

WITH ITS ICONIC GLAZED TILES, SIMILAR TO THOSE OF THE HOSPICES DE BEAUNE, THE CHÂTEAU IS LISTED AS A HISTORIC MONUMENT AND IS PART OF BURGUNDY’S HERITAGE.

NATURE FRIENDLY WINE PRODUCTION

A NEW  ERA

Caroline Frey, owner, winemaker and winegrower, is committed to perpetuating Burgundian know-how by bringing her vision of viticulture to the table.

Since 2015, Caroline has been bringing her passion for viticulture to this magnificent 7-hectare (17,3ac) estate.

She deliberately chooses to keep to a limited wine production in order to preserve all its qualities, but also to introduce soft viticulture across the whole vineyard.

A CONTEMPORARY WINERY DEDICATED TO WINE

Each year, each of these custom-made concrete vats receives the unique harvest of one of the estate’s climats and each cuvée has a vat related to the size of the yield.

LIMITED QUANTITIES

The Domaine Caroline Frey estate owns 3 Grands Crus including one Monopole. 4 Premiers Crus, 5 Villages appellation and a blended Bourgogne of 3 appellations.

THE TASTING CELLAR

The various Domaine Caroline Frey appellations are presented in our tasting cellar. Following on from the tasting cellar, a paved corridor leads to a superb 15th century vaulted cellar. Old vintages dating back to 1928, the legacy of the first owner of the estate, Pierre André, are carefully preserved as a reminder of times past.
